Allison Handler


Allison Handler focuses her practice on representing plaintiffs and their families in medical negligence, birth injury and personal injury claims. Ms. Handler earned her Juris Doctor from William & Mary Law School where she served as Executive Editor of the William & Mary Journal of Women and the Law. During her time in law school, Ms. Handler was selected as a Fellow with the renowned Election Law Program, a partnership with the National Center for State Courts, and she was also awarded the Dunn Civil Liberties Fellowship. She is a graduate of Oberlin College where she was active in the student government and judiciary and where she led the trial team.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Handler worked in lobbying and legislative affairs in Washington, D.C. She also clerked for the Legal Aid Society of Cincinnati as a member of the Equal Justice Works Summer Corp. A strong believer in amplifying the voices of marginalized and injured people, Ms. Handler brings compassion and fortitude to her work as a trial attorney.

Ms. Handler is a member of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association and the Virginia State Bar. She is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
